Allemagne : Germany remains Europe’s strongest investment market for new hotel projects
More than 54,000 new upcoming hotel rooms will put further pressure on the performance on 16,000 already existing hotels in Germany: over the next three to four years more than 380 hotels will open their doors in Europe"s largest national economy. According to TOPHOTELPROJECTS, the leading information service for international hotel construction projects, In Berlin alone 32 new hotels will be developed and currently under construction, including the Waldorf Astoria (TOPHOTELPROJECTS Nr. 5291, 232 rooms, opening in July 2012) located in a prime location in Berlin City West next to the famous "Gedächtniskirche".
Near the showpiece hotel project Waldorf Astoria the "Bikini Berlin" hotel project, a new member of the ultra-hip 25hours Hotels, (TOPHOTELPROJECTS Nr. 6504), will soon welcome its first guests. The 149-room design hotel will open its doors in spring 2013 and offer a perfect view overlooking the Berlin Zoo.
For quite some time the German capital Berlin is a field of activity for international hospitality brands and hotel newcomers, such as the brand "Indigo" by the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). The first two properties of the new IHG brand have recently opened.
